Getting Started

The first step with every job is meeting with the client to get acquainted with their individual tastes and style as well as to get familiar with the areas that are the focus of the job. Every client has their own unique tastes from the Victorian to Tuscan, from classic to contemporary. Whether the overall concept has been established by the client or their decorator or whether we're beginning with a blank slate, my focus is to work with one or both to produce the final artistic solution.

The Process

I bring a number of sample boards and photographs of different finishes to the initial meeting to inspire the imagination while taking into account the colors, fabrics and textures the client already has in their home. From that beginning, I begin to narrow search for the final finish and refine the options by creating a few small samples for review. After the final finishes are agreed upon and the course of the job mapped out, I begin to transform the area into a unique work of art.

The Job

Whether it's a ceiling mural or a powder room, the same precautions are taken to safeguard the client's home. If the home is already furnished, all unnecessary furniture is removed from the room, including throw rugs, and the floors are covered with drop cloths or paper. Tape and paper are used to mask off moldings and ceilings so nothing that is not meant to be touched remains clean. Ryan Cummings Decorative is fully insured.

The Price

I work within every client's budget. As every client's tastes and home are unique, I work one on one with each client to determine the best solutions to fit their budget. Contact me for a quote.
